“Before working with Stefanie, I was completely overwhelmed and had no idea where to start. She guided me through every step of the college application process, turned my stress into confidence, and helped me stay far ahead of schedule. I couldn’t have done it without her.”
“I truly could not have made it through the college application process without you. I cannot wait to start a new chapter at Boston University. You are a big part of the reason that I can say I am confident in my decision.”

Hello!
I’m Stefanie.
I know what it feels like to navigate this alone.
I grew up in Colorado, earned my way to Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame as a State champion basketball player, and navigated the entire college process as a first-generation student with no one to guide me. I figured it out — but I never forgot how hard that was, or how different it could have been with someone in my corner.
That's what drove me to spend 20 years as a school counselor. I loved that work. But a caseload of hundreds meant I could never give any one student what they truly deserved. I could see exactly what each of them needed — and I couldn't fully deliver it. So I left to build something different.
I've also watched my own children take very different paths through this exact process. That experience shaped everything about how I work.
WayForward exists for parents who are ready to stop worrying and start leading their teen toward a decision they will feel proud of — on move-in day and long after.
